Salad Dressings

Salad Dressings fall into two camps: mayonnaise based concoctions and vinaigrette dressings.

The mayonnaise sauces include: Thousand Island made from hard boiled eggs, chilli sauce, parsley and paprika; Russian which is made from mustard and onion, Worcestershire sauce and ketchups.

The vinaigrette dressings are best made fresh from olive oil and wine vinegar and mixed into an emulsion. These can be further classified as: French Dressing, containing honey, salt and mustard; Italian - flavoured with garlic, paprika, sugar, tomato and turmeric; and Vinaigrette with lemon juice, pepper and salt.
