Rye Flour is a flour milled from rye. Rye flour is a grey colour, although it is often lighted by mixing with wheat flour. Rye flour is the flour for pumpernickel (Schwartzbrod) and some crispbreads. Rye flour contains gluten, so should be avoided by those with celiac disease.
