Red Currant

Red Currant is a small red, translucent fruit with a sour taste, Red currants can be eaten fresh, but are usually used in making jams, syrups and wine. Red currants are an excellent berry to use in the English classic - summer pudding.

Another use for red currants is to accompany feathered game and lamb, generally in the sauce or gravy. Alternatively, place a small bunch of fresh red currants on the side of everyone's plate.
