Ravioli is the most well-known pasta dumpling. Ravioli is square in shape, stuffed with spianch and ricotta or herbs, or more often filled with a savoury meat mixture. Ravioli is cooked in boiling water and ravioli can be served with gravy or tomato sauce, although small ravioli may be cooked in soups. Ravioli is usually served fresh or can be bought ready-cooked in a tomato sauce in a can.
