Hawaiian Kona Coffee is to Americans what Jamaican coffee is to the British. Kona coffee is a perfect coffee, whose careful production is helped by reliable rainfall, pure volcanic soil and sea breezes.

Hawaiian coffee estates are generally small and the bushes are planted in individual pits dug in the volcanic rock, rather like giant plant pots. Natural cloud cover during the heat of the day saves them from the extreme coastal temperatures.

Hawaiian Kona has the sweetness and finesse of Jamaican, with its own unique balance of mild acidity and aroma, making it very different to other coffees.
