Crabs are a large group of crustaceans, found in American and European waters. Atlantic favourite types of crab include: Blue Crab, Jonah Crab, Rock Crab and Stone Crab; the Dungeness Crab and King Crab are well known from the Pacific coast. Popular European types of crab include: the Blue Crab, the Edible Crab (or common crab), and the Spider Crab. Crabs are sold fresh, canned and frozen, and crabs can have hard or soft shells.
