Catfish are a wide group of culinary fish, with most varieties freshwater fish. Catfish types include: Blue Catfish, Channel Catfish, Yellow Catfish or goujon, Spotted Catfish or fiddle, Bullhead Catfish or horned pout. There are a few types of seawater catfish: Wolf Fish and Spotted Catfish. These catfish are caught off the northern coastal waters of Europe or off Newfoundland. Catfish are usually sold in fillets, which can be baked or fried.
