Capsicum

Capsicum is the vegetable pepper family, that comprises sweet pepper (also known as bell peppers) and the chilli pepper, which is the quintessential hot spice. Capsicum peppers come in a wide range from sweet and mild to hot, in a large range of sizes and colours. Sweet peppers are mild, sweet and crunchy. They are used as salad vegetables and are sometimes stuffed. Sweet peppers are also used in stews and sauces.
