Cantal is a French cheese from the Auvergne. Cantal is a cylinder-shaped product with a natural rind and a firm, uniform paste. Cantal has a fine flavour and aroma and can be used interchangeable with Cheddar for many recipes as it melts easily and does not tend to create threads.
