Blackcurrant is a small, sweet and juicy fruit. Blackcurrants are best known for use in cordials (e.g. Ribena), or in the liqueur cassis. Blackcurrants are, also, cooked into desserts, e.g. cheesecakes. or made into jams. Blackcurrant is a summer fruit.
