Avocados are grown in many countries. Avocados have a nutritious, pale-green buttery fruit, covered in a smooth green skin or warty black skin. Avocados taste oily and slightly sweet. Avocados are used in salads or as amousse or an accompaniment like the Mexican, guacamole. Their oily fruit is used to make avocado oil.
