Roasting is a method that is used to a lesser extent in Asian cuisine than in American and European cooking. However, roasting is popular in restaurant food, especially for Cantonese and Peking styles of cooking - Peking Duck is a classic example. The Chinese method of roasting involves hanging the meat or poultry on a rotisserie, or a hook in the oven.
